How to use the Attachment feature

You can use this feature to add, print, delete, and rename attachments for a record or transaction.

Add an attachment

Note: When you are adding an attachment to a record or transaction, you must save the record or transaction before you can add an attachment. Sage 50 can only add attachments to records or transactions that it recognizes as in the system. An unsaved record or transaction is not considered to be in the system yet.

  1. Click Attachments.
  2. Click Add on the Attachments window.
  3. Browse to the file you want to add and select it.
  4. Click OK. when you are done.

Print an attachment

  1. Click Attachments.
  2. Highlight the file you want to print.
  3. Click Print on the toolbar of the Attachments window.
  4. Follow the directions on the Print window.

Delete an attachment

  1. Click Attachments .
  2. Highlight the file you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete on the Attachments window.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.

Rename an attachment

  1. Click Attachments.
  2. Highlight the attachment.
  3. Click Rename.
  4. Enter the new name for the attachment.
  5. Click OK..

Note: Note that renaming an attachment here will NOT rename the actual document. Only for Sage 50 will the attachment have a different name.
